The relationship between poetry and music is as old as the language of music. Nowhere is there a more nuanced
expression of this than in chamber music. To open our chamber music season, we present a delightful and
charming evening of music for unusual combinations of instruments Ð the performers are a sextet of bassoon,
clarinet, viola, voice, flute and harp. We are particularly proud to include the compositions by two local composers;
famed jazz pianist David Roitstein and vocalist Harmony Jiroudek.
Our vocal soloist for the evening, Harmony Jiroudek. Performers joining Jiroudek include Andrew McIntosh viola,
Julie Feves bassoon, Janice Tipton flute.
